School Shopping

We stopped at the boys favorite store the Nike outlet in Vacaville, CA. Garrett and Kirkland was so proud of their shoes they got ( Garrett bought the second pair himself) they are sending you a picture of their Lebron, Jordan, and SF shoes. Kirkland also bought himself a Greenbay hat in SF.

More SF

I made the mistake of showing Kirkland and Garrett candy cigaretts in a candy store. They bought some and if you remember when you blow on them candy powder comes out. So they were trying one out in the trolley line and they got a lot of weird looks because people really thought they were smoking. I told them that better be the only cigaretts they ever put in their mouths! They thought they were funny.

More SF

Here is a picture of Alcatraz. The boys want to go back and tour Alcatraz. This was a cool toilet downtown and Kirkland posed for the occasion. Garrett was too cool to pose. He is a teenager now. We didn't ride the cable cars because we were tired of waiting in lines from six flags.

San Francisco

Here is a picture of the port we came into and the back of the boat we were on. There are also pictures of downtown SF.

Ferry Ride To San Francisco

August 17, 2008 we went from Vallejo, CA on a ferry to San Francisco. It was really fun. The ferry was pretty big and you didn't feel the waves so I didn't get sick. We saw a lot of sites from the ferry like Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, Downtown, lots of boats and other things I can't remember. We went into the port of San Francisco Pier 1 and then walked to Pier 39 and Fisherman's Warf. It brought back a lot of memories for Dave because his family went to SF a lot when he was a kid. He showed us where his Dad used to dock when he was a Merchant Marine.

Vacation

We finally were able to take a vacation now that Garrett's shoulder is heeled. We went to Sacramento, CA and went to raging waters. They were also having their state fair so we walked around their fair also. We were going to explore downtown and found a place called Old Sacramento which was really cool. Although I didn't have my camera because we were just taking a drive. It was sort of like Virginia City with wooden sidewalks and brick streets. They buildings were really old and there were tons of cool shops to look in. The next day we went to Six Flags in Vallejo, CA. It was a nice cool day. We had fun but we decided we liked Disneyland better. Dave doesn't like roller coasters so he did a lot of waiting. It's nice for younger kids and teenagers but there is not much inbetween rides.

Crepe Myrtle Tree

After planting 3 trees and all of them dying we finally have a tree thats pretty and alive.

Miracles Do Happen

Dave finally got a new truck after 13 years. He is very excited. It is a work truck and the business bought it. Hope business continues to be good!

4th of July

We stayed at home for the 4th. We had gone rafting the day before so we decided to stay home and rest. Grants Pass doesn't have a great firework show. Everyone here buys their own fireworks and has blockparties. Our neighbors had some pretty good illegal ones. The kids had fun doing their own fireworks.

Oregon Coast

The coast was beautiful. It was warm and sunny. We got pretty wet walking along the coast. Mom found some cool rocks to take home. A boy came by with the live crab he had caught. Kirkland had fun playing in the sand. Dave and Garrett decided they needed to work on their tans. We had some great fish on the warf but had to wait forever. It was pretty busy because of the holiday weekend.
