We stopped at the boys favorite store the Nike outlet in Vacaville, CA. Garrett and Kirkland was so proud of their shoes they got ( Garrett bought the second pair himself) they are sending you a picture of their Lebron, Jordan, and SF shoes. Kirkland also bought himself a Greenbay hat in SF.

More SF
I made the mistake of showing Kirkland and Garrett candy cigaretts in a candy store. They bought some and if you remember when you blow on them candy powder comes out. So they were trying one out in the trolley line and they got a lot of weird looks because people really thought they were smoking. I told them that better be the only cigaretts they ever put in their mouths! They thought they were funny.

Ferry Ride To San Francisco
August 17, 2008 we went from Vallejo, CA on a ferry to San Francisco. It was really fun. The ferry was pretty big and you didn't feel the waves so I didn't get sick. We saw a lot of sites from the ferry like Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, Downtown, lots of boats and other things I can't remember. We went into the port of San Francisco Pier 1 and then walked to Pier 39 and Fisherman's Warf. It brought back a lot of memories for Dave because his family went to SF a lot when he was a kid. He showed us where his Dad used to dock when he was a Merchant Marine.
Vacation
We finally were able to take a vacation now that Garrett's shoulder is heeled. We went to Sacramento, CA and went to raging waters. They were also having their state fair so we walked around their fair also. We were going to explore downtown and found a place called Old Sacramento which was really cool. Although I didn't have my camera because we were just taking a drive. It was sort of like Virginia City with wooden sidewalks and brick streets. They buildings were really old and there were tons of cool shops to look in. The next day we went to Six Flags in Vallejo, CA. It was a nice cool day. We had fun but we decided we liked Disneyland better. Dave doesn't like roller coasters so he did a lot of waiting. It's nice for younger kids and teenagers but there is not much inbetween rides.
